Search "beauty appointments" in the Ukrainian App Store and the top five are Fresha, Booksy, StyleSeat, Altegio, and then Rememby, a one-developer app with a single review. That's an unusually good spot for an app this new. Now search for the same thing the way a Ukrainian speaker would type it. Rememby comes in at #33 for "манікюр" (manicure) and doesn't show up at all for "запис до майстра" (booking with a beauty pro). The English word "manicure" gets it to #23. In the app's home market, its English keywords are doing more work than its Ukrainian ones.

What Rememby actually does

Rememby isn't a booking platform, and that matters for everything below. It doesn't connect you to salons. It's a personal diary for the client side of beauty appointments. You add an appointment, and it reminds you the evening before and an hour ahead. Afterwards it asks how the visit went and saves who you saw, what it cost, what was done, and an "after" photo. A month later it tells you it's time to go again, timed to your own rhythm rather than a fixed calendar interval. There's a contacts list for your artists and salons, monthly spending totals, and one clever touch: screenshot the chat where you booked, and Rememby pulls out the date and time for you. There's no account and everything stays on the phone. The app is version 1.1, last updated October 1, 2026, and ships with a Ukrainian localization.

Chart position isn't where this app gets found

CountryRememby (Lifestyle, top-free)
UAnot in top 100
USnot in top 100

That's normal for this kind of app. Ukraine's Lifestyle chart right now is ATB-Market, Pinterest, Glovo, rental and dating apps, and smart-home remotes. Two beauty booking platforms do make it: Altegio.me at #22 with 11K reviews and Booksy at #59 with 10K. Those numbers come from thousands of salons pushing their clients to install the app. A personal diary has no salon network behind it, so it won't climb this chart on volume. People will find it by typing what they want into search, which makes search the part worth measuring.

English: strong on "appointments", missing the diary words

The English side works because the title does most of the work. "Beauty appointments" is in the app name, and the App Store weights the name more heavily than anything else on the page, so Rememby ranks for nearly every variation of "appointment". Ranking #10 for "appointment reminder" is a real result, since that search is otherwise Readdle Calendars, Google Calendar, and business schedulers.

The gap is everything that sets Rememby apart from a calendar. The diary, the visit history, and the spending totals are what make it a different product from Booksy, and "beauty diary", "beauty tracker", and "visit diary" all return nothing. One caveat: "beauty reminder" is #1, but the App Store doesn't suggest that phrase when you start typing it. Nobody else is competing for it, which is also a sign that hardly anyone searches for it, so treat that #1 as a nice extra rather than a channel.

Ukrainian: indexed, but on the wrong words

This isn't the usual story of an app that forgot its Ukrainian keywords. Rememby is indexed in Ukrainian: it's #6 for "б'юті" and #11 for "візит". So the Ukrainian metadata exists. The problem is word choice and how much weight each term gets. "Манікюр" is the clearest example. It's the one term in this table with real demand on both sides: the App Store autocompletes it, and Google Trends puts it at a steady 34–50 every week for the past six months with no seasonal dip. Rememby sits at #33 for it, well outside what anyone scrolls to, while the English "manicure" puts it at #23.

The apostrophe also matters. Rememby is #6 for "б'юті" typed with a straight apostrophe (') and #12 with the typographic one (’). An iPhone's Ukrainian keyboard types the typographic one by default. The App Store treats them as different words, so if you're targeting a word with an apostrophe, check both versions.

The word that best describes the product, "щоденник" (diary), isn't indexed at all, in the language of the app's home market.

A Ukrainian booking app with no reviews holds the phrase Rememby is missing

"Плекай себе: запис і догляд" ("Take care of yourself: booking and care") launched in 2026 and also comes from a single developer. It's a different kind of product: the client app for salons that run on the Plekai booking platform, with online booking, bonuses, and LiqPay payments. It has zero reviews. Still, it's #4 for "запис до майстра" and #41 for "догляд", and the reason is easy to see: both words are in its Ukrainian title. Rememby beats it on everything English and on the generic Ukrainian words. Plekai wins the Ukrainian phrases because it put them in its name.

"Запис до майстра" is a modest prize, though. Google Trends doesn't have enough search volume to chart it, and when you type it into the App Store, the only autocomplete suggestion is another app's name, "Ololo: онлайн-запис до майстра", which ranks #1 for it. The shorter "запис до" autocompletes to "запис до лікаря" (doctor's appointment) and to Vroda, another salon booking app. So the phrase does work as a way to find salon apps, but its volume is small. The term with real, steady volume is "манікюр", and that's where Rememby has the most room to move up.

Data pulled from live App Store search, autocomplete, and Google Trends results via Pumf.it on October 6, 2026. App Store search positions shift daily, and a fresh app's rankings move faster than most. This is a read of public App Store data, not a critique of Rememby or Плекай себе as products. Both are thoughtful, well-scoped tools for people who book beauty appointments. The keyword gaps described here are fixable metadata work, not product flaws.
